ANJANETTE WHITMAN is the Director of the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court Navigation Services Help Center. Ms. Whitman established the Help Center in 2017 to assist court visitors based on the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Task Force on Access to Justice recommendations. The Help Center now helps people navigate the court process in general Domestic Relations and Domestic Violence and provides final judgment entry review and assistance with issues involving the Office of Child Support. As a result, the Court helps over 20,000 people annually to enjoy a more efficient court experience. Ms. Whitman earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia. She graduated from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law with a Juris Doctorate and Master of Public Administration. She earned her Certified Court Manager certificate in 2021, her Certified Court Executive certificate in 2022, and graduated from the Fellows program in 2023. She has been practicing family law for over 20 years. She was in private practice for 12 years before being appointed Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court Judge in 2012 and subsequently as a Trial Magistrate with the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court. Ms. Whitman also has served as a staff attorney for the Domestic Relations Court Law Department. Outside of her law career, she is the Head Cross Country and Assistant Track & Field coach at Beaumont School. She also is the founder and president of Women in Coaching. This non-profit organization provides opportunities and support for female coaches to promote all athletes' personal, social, and athletic development. She has always been an active community member serving on many boards and served several terms as a City Councilwoman for the City of Rocky River where she was raised and continues to reside.
